1.8.10.3 Glycohaemoglobin (Haemoglobin A1 or A1c: HGbA1 or HGbA1c)

Glycohaemoglobin measures the amount of glucose chemically attached to your red blood cells. Since blood cells live for about 3 months, this test indicates your average glucose levels over the last 6 - 10 weeks. A high level suggests poor diabetes control.
