Dear Vasculitis Friends:



Each year the Vasculitis Foundation celebrates Vasculitis Awareness Month in May with the goal of raising awareness of this rare disease, and showcasing the invaluable resources the organization offers to both the patient and medical community.



Over the last two years the VF has produced an awareness video that helps us with our mission of education, support and research. We publish the annual video via social media, our website, through other venues that reach thousands of viewers.

Our New Message: The Vasculitis Foundation’s Global Network

This year we are producing a new awareness video whose theme demonstrates that not only does vasculitis (the disease) have a global reach, but the Vasculitis Foundation has an equally international network of support. We want to showcase how our organization has established chapters throughout the world, partnered with vasculitis researchers and clinics world-wide, and provide valuable resources.



We would especially like to have representation from the vasculitis community in Germany.



How You Might Help Us:

The producers for the 2014 Vasculitis Awareness Video would like to capture short testimonies from some of our international members both in the patient and medical research community.



· For patients----We want to know how the Vasculitis Foundation has helped you manage your disease and supports you with information and education.



· For medical specialists—We want to learn how the VF has helped you in research and treatment of vasculitis.



Your video segment will be incorporated into the final 2014 Awareness video.



How it works:

If you’re interested in participating just let us know. You will be contacted by the project’s producer on how best to capture the video with you.



Here are two options:



· If you are able to videotape yourself---great. We will provide you the three key questions we would like you to answer on film. Once completed, you will be instructed how to physically send us your video file.



· We will also be conducting SKYPE video calls over the Internet. The only requirements would be having a SKYPE account, and either a webcam, or using a built-in laptop camera.

We will engage in a short Q&A session and the video will be captured by the producer.
